SCENE GUIDE / SHORTS STORIES

Everygen Shorts story prompts

Write a small story as separate shots: setup, discovery and payoff. Generate one shot at a time and assemble the sequence in an editor.

Set up the first draft

Use the same character reference across shots. Treat these three briefs as story beats, with no promise of automatic continuity.

A possible starting point is Seedance 2.5. This is an editorial workflow suggestion, not a measured quality ranking. Confirm model availability, plan access and the current quote.

Three copyable shot briefs

Public-source guide. Briefs are original and untested; paid generation, render-time and authenticated MCP tests are not included.

ORIGINAL BRIEF / 01

Setup: the empty dock

Intended composition: Establish the character, place and the object it notices.

A tiny original red robot stands alone on a wooden dock beside a still pond at sunrise. In one continuous wide shot, it notices a small folded paper boat resting near its feet and tilts its head toward it. Warm low sunlight, a fixed camera, soft water sounds. Keep the robot design simple and unchanged. No dialogue, text or other characters.

ORIGINAL BRIEF / 02

Discovery: the launch

Intended composition: Make the change in the story easy to see.

Use the supplied red robot reference. In a close side view on the same wooden dock, the robot gently nudges one paper boat from the edge into the pond. The boat stays intact and begins floating away. One slow camera move follows the boat, with warm sunrise reflections and quiet water. No extra hands, characters, words or scene transitions.

ORIGINAL BRIEF / 03

Payoff: the wave

Intended composition: Finish on a readable gesture rather than adding another event.

The same small red robot watches the paper boat drift across a calm pond. In a static medium shot it raises one arm in a small wave, then lowers it. Keep the boat visible in the distance and preserve the dock layout from the reference. Gentle sunrise light, distant birds, no captions or dialogue. End on a brief still moment.

Before publishing

  • Each shot communicates one story beat.
  • Direction of travel and lighting remain consistent.
  • The assembled story makes sense with sound muted.

Keep the first run and every rejected run in your notes. Record the model, selected settings, reference files, quoted credits and the reason an output failed. If there are no acceptable outputs, leave cost per usable clip undefined.
